Winter Wonderland Saxophone Music
Winter Wonderland was written in 1934 as a wintertime song. It has since become not only a standard, but one of the most popular Holiday and Christmas time songs of all time.
The original recording out of 1934 had a lot of New York’s finest studio musicians of the day including Artie Shaw on the clarinet.
Winter Wonderland has been recorded by hundreds of artists and singers including Guy Lombardo, Perry Como and Johnny Mercer to name of few.
Another interesting fact about the song Winter Wonderland is that the 1987 version recorded by the English pop group the Eurythmics has been the most commonly played since that time.
This backing track version has a real swinging blues/jazz feel. Transcribed here on our download version in the concert key of E flat major. The tenor sax charts are therefor in the key of F major. The alto sax charts are in the key of C major.
