      Hi Jeff I do have the same problem with my Alto, but it’s the lower d. I hardly get a sound. Maybe it’s a leak.

        Hi Soupy
        don’t let MS give up your dreams. You might have to adapt but you can still achive things. Maybe you are a bit hasty to give up your sax who knows after your MRI and the right treatment you might still be able to annoy the neighbours with your sound. I wish you and your wife all the best.

          Thanks Johnny, I just noticed the octave key does not open all the time. I phoned the sax shop and they will have a look at it next week.

                  Hello
                  Maybe you should try a 1.5 or 2 reed at the beginning. A 2.5 is a bit hard for a beginner. I’m using a 2 Vandoren ZZ and a 2 La Voz.
