Jeff, I have two altos, a selmer 500 and a elude, I find my tenors easier to play
strangely the altos seemed to require more air than the tenors have no idea why

You are correct about the cost, but i wasted a lot of money on student models and intermediates
which when added together would have paid for a good pro sax. Live and learn

Funny Jeff, I bought that 54 years ago with the compressor it is the same age I am, was made in 1946, was actually used
for many years now it is just a keep sake. ( also now a big collectors item who knew)

Love the Yamaha, (yts62) I hear a lot that the tools don’t matter as much as the player, but i think they matter a great deal, i have
several different models from student to pro, and the pro is much easier to play upper and lower keys, young students might get discouraged
