I have always liked Javas. I played it with a Rovner MK 111 lig. It’s halfway between the Dark and Versa. The Rovner sounds better than the Optimum lig with the Green Java Reed.

Oh Boy! I put a Green Java 2.5 on the V16 mouthpiece just to give it a blow and man does that ever sound good. I know there is a lesson somewhere in this???

Started playing the V16 2.5 on my Jody Jazz Hard Rubber. Really liked them a lot! Able to play soft or loud and the high notes come easier and more in tune. I picked up a Vandoren V16 T6

Have to agree that people always want to be involved with the performers. I would have liked to have seen the on stage serenade.

Lots of energy by the band but taking the man’s seat beside his woman was a little over the top.

I believe some players actually are moving their bottom lip down and up getting that vibrating sound. I found that this automatically happens to me when my mouth gets tired. 🙂

My teacher always has me blow long tones loud to soft and soft to loud. Then he asks me to play as soft as I can and hold it. This enabled me to play the soft sub tones.
