I first heard “The Green Door” in 1956. A simple 12 bar blues. So I found the music in my Bb music book in the key of B major so the accompaniment had to be in the key of A major. (For tenor Sax) So long story short I have the Green Door in the key of B, and key of A. I want the sheet music in the key of F major and the accompaniment in E flat. I…[Read more]

So the household doesn’t want to hear “Take The Ribbon From My Hair”. No more. I have to play a song over and over to get it right, counting the notes. I don’t hear a drummer. 1st note or rest in each measure gets the down beat. I have to hum or sing the song to get it right. So I switched songs going from a scale variation of My Old Kentucky Home…[Read more]

Johnny
Working on “Satisfaction”. Great driving backing track. On measure 54 going from F# to D do you slur F# F E Eb D very fast; same in measure 20. All during the Coda it’s hard to keep up. Something to work on.

Johnny;
I have a 54 seconds mp3 of “You’re Wondering Now” down loaded into my “GarageBand”. I’m assuming the track is in the key of A. So I’m playing a B pentatonic one it. I added that 54 seconds on to the back of the 1st 54 seconds giving me 108 seconds of practice time with a B pentatonic

“You’re Wondering Now” words and music by Clement Dodd. My music is in C major. When I play along with the video my C major on tenor sax sounds OK so maybe the video is in Bb, and maybe I’m tone deaf. I’ve been playing around with song for a while. I have no backing track
