Greetings from Malaysia. I am Richard. I play the Tenor sax. I am 59 yrs old. I played the saxophones in my younger days from age 18 -35 mostly in night clubs from 1977 – 1990. It was mostly playing the Chinese songs backing the Chinese singers from Taiwan, Hong Kong & Local Chinese singers. After that I stopped playing and changed my job to office works until today. I started to pick up playing the saxophone sometimes last year in August.

due to work schedules & don’t have a private room, I am unable to practice everyday. I only practice as and when I have time at home.

I hope through this forum here, I will be able to get more tips on improvising & improve my playing.

I fully enjoy Johnny’s style of playing & his tones.

I am Richard Chew from Malaysia. I find this site is so interesting & much information that able to help anyone who has interest in paying the saxophones.
I played alto & tenor sax some 25 years in a night club band. I sold off my saxophones,stopped playing & started working full time in office. I have just bought myself a used alto ( not a real good one ), and trying to play as hobby & small events. I am now 58 years & like saxophone music very much.

As I am still working now, I hardly have much time to practice except during weekends.

I am Richard from Malaysia. You really have nice collections. You are professional sax player ?

I don’t really play well on sax but trying to do my best to improve.

I just started to play after over 25 years break. I used to own a Conn Alto, but sold off when I stopped playing. Now I bought an old alto from a friend.
