Thanks Mark,
I did hear from Johnny, it’s as suspected, the new software only goes back so far. I am searching my external drives, but I think they may be on a drive in my old PC, I have to crack the case (figuratively and literally) to pop that drive in the current pc and see what’s what.
I have a Martin Comm3 and do what Mike Potter does, have to lip it up a bit. On my Buffet SDA I do that and add the RH1. On my Purple Martin Indiana, which does not get much playing time these days (fails to hold adjustment and I dont’ want to sink a lot of cash into it) I can do the Split F and Bb side key, or the 1 and 1 speaks well, as does the Split F, Side Bb and RH1
Altissimo G escapes me, I don’t play much up there. đ
IMDB lists actor Kirk St. James as the sax player (apparently not the actual player)
Thanks. Yeah Johnny, this was just a test of the little Go Pro knockoff, to check the wide angle in my small office/studio. I only used the onboard mic, the tracks were coming from my speakers, and the sax was not miked at all. When I record I use either a Rode NT2, or an EV Re20 into an Aphex 105 mic pre into a 2496 sound card in the PC. đ
In addition to what has been said, kick the bottom of the horn away from your body, that will help with the angle of the mpc. Adjust your strap so when you tilt the horn(by pushing the bell out) the mpc comes to your mouth. the angle you’re playing looks more like a clarinet embouchure. If it were more level your airstream would be more effiecient.
Long tones, Long tones, Long tones, crescendo and decrescendo, with a tuner.
Most of all, keep having fun.
Thanks…. usually becomes an ending to many a Christmas tune. lol
Karaoke-version is great….especially the custom tracks that you can remix. Some guys download each track separately and remix (efx etc).
Another fun tune… more singing than playing. I’ve switched to a softer reed.
LOVE SAM!!
Michael, My now 22 year old daughter was severely tongue tied. Doctors kept telling us, ” it’s fine, we usually don’t do anything for that today.” Finally got a referal to a cosmetic surgeon. She was young, maybe 3 or four wouldn’t open her mouth to let him look. He was telling us the same thing then she cried, mouth wide open, he took one glance and said “Oh yeah we gotta take care of that.” Come to find out later my dad was similar, and I had, not mu tongue but the frenula connecting my upper and lower lips done for periondontal reasons. Glad to to know you can now stick your tongue out at people. LOL
Keep on honkin’!
