May he now be at peace. My thoughts are with you
I know it’s often recommended to start playing an instrument at an early age but gosh sxpoet your doing well at only 2 months! 😉 (apologies, couldn’t resist)
Welcome Don! Gosh what a find, good on you for persevering with it. Sounds like you really struck lucky. Don’t forget to check out JF’s fab vids on the blues. Good luck
Hope the playing is going well Jools, like the others have said great site – check out the blues improv vids, very cool! JF thanks for the advice on playing fast – Mozart Turkish Rondo next for me (just a nice slow leisurely piece!)
Life really does suck sometimes. Losing a loved one is always hard but JF is right, hugs and time will heal. Virtual hug from me.
Life may come and go but memories never fade – take the time to remember all the good things. Take care and sincere best wishes.
Greetings from Devon. Hi Jools, nice to have another uk person on the site (which is fab!). Pleased you have picked up the sax again. Have fun training those muscles!
So sorry to hear your news 🙁
Wishing you all the best
Hi Lisa, great news about the lessons! So excited for you!
I am, for my sins, posted all the way down in Devon (Plymouth to be specific).
I hope you find lessons as helpful as I do – I felt like I was splashing around in an ocean of information and lessons helped to strip back and focus on what i really need to know to match my current level.
Have fun!
Nat
Couldn’t agree more Wayne!!
I am looking to upgrade my lig and mouthpiece shortly and am heading to sax.co.uk store in London – heaven! Has been great reading these posts and has given me some good ideas (and knowledge) for my trip and investment.
Out of interest does anyone have any experience with the tenor Selmer SD20 mp?
Hi Richard, am so pleased you have picked up a sax again!!
Deciding to play sax was probably one of the best things I have done and wouldn’t be without mine.
Music is good for the soul – enjoy your weekend practicing
