no, i’ve got it wrong, the reflection of light on the ligature in the above photo graph makes the ligature look slightly raised above the reed, so in fact it can be turned around 180 degrees.

it all depends on the design of the ligature, some are designed like mine where you can have screws above the reed or on the opposite side, personal choice prevails.

Leo the only other site i’ve tried is cafesax, but it’s just full of comedians, making comical remarks every time someone posts anything – more like a facebook site, so i don’t go on it. i’m barely starting out with easier tunes like Michelle. Just about playing it better in time with the beat.

to be honest, once you can play overtones, practically every fingering position found on the internet works, it’s just a case of finding the ones that you can smoothly move through a scale.

Similar to the last pdf, but i needed some extra checks, as some of my reeds play very clearly whether it is jazz sounding or classical sounding.
Some reeds have a more mellow or warm sound even if they sound extremely clear.

Reeds sound like when you turn the treble dial on a speaker, they can sound very sharp and clear on high notes or the complete opposite.
Similarly reeds can sound like when you turn the bass dial on a speaker, the low notes can be standing out more or less.
