thx Johnny re that Art preamp tip; I just got mine & tested it out; it warms up the tone nicely + rounds it out (big difference listening with vs without) plus it’s good to have another volume boost available; my chain is: audio-technica pro35 instrument lav mic to boss ve-20 reveb pedal to art tube mp to mixer; works great. plus i use a zoom h4n…[Read more]

thx Johnny for the tip; I’ll try one of those Art preamps; I’d never heard of them before; sounds like a good idea re analog tube for adding a bit of warmth to the sound
I also just bought a Boss VE20 and love its reverb on 03-jazz setting; adds a lot

hi Johnny, hope you’re having a good summer. despite my best efforts at tightening up my embouchure, my upper palm key notes are all flat; hi D# thru F#… its me not the sax, my yts62/otto link sounds great with notes up to a or b, then I’m really flat above that. any tips? much appreciated! 🙂

Hi – I see “in the mood” was blocked on youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMYtMmoJo1M “This video previously contained a copyrighted audio track.
