Wow awesome – I love trad irish music, and being from Down Under, We don’t get a lot here 🙂 in fact, I’m glad to hear that there is sax music for trad irish music, let me know where i can find some! I used to play fiddle but not very well, as my ear isn’t great. Decided the fiddle needs frets. Anyways, welcome to the sax site 🙂

Welcome! wow six months of scales 3 hours a day, that’s dedicated. But I guess that’s the base to improvise from huh? I need more patience – I just bought a scales and arpeggios book and have just learnt all the notes via Johnny’s videos. It’s tough slog sometimes, but starting to get a good sound now. Are you still doing baritone sax? I play tenor – which is hard enough given I’m only 5’6″ so can’t even imagine baritone!
