i dont think its cheap, i was thinking of this a couple of years ago , and got a quote,, that was the end of that thought, all for just one song, not for me, there is plenty of great songs out there on backing tracks ,,, “saxsolos” is not bad either for notes and music , but now Johnny is offering it

If one is a new player, actually there are many other great songs out there that already have what you need, to spend money on something Jazzbacks has alot of great tunes,, food for thought

i had a carbon fiber onyx soft, and it was too soft so i filed the end down and it became alot firmer,,,,D’Addario Jazz Select reeds. they are great

i am using java green, V16 , d, addario select jazz vandoran trans, hempke it all depends on the MP i am using each MP reacts differently to various reeds also if i need a MP darkerr brighter

reeds a never ending pursuit, but yes as you stated, the smaller the tip size the strong the reed you would need,, typically , alot of people have big tip sizes and still use strong reeds, that must tire some lips out

you know you can download a slowdowner program , that play in exact key , but simply slows down the notes as to find them by ear

subtones are sweet, despite what some may tell you , a double cusion/double lip embosure makes it alot easier

cheaper meaning less expensive ,,yamaha YTS 52 or 62 (not the purple label one) are not bad, , allegros, i think cannon ball is alright,, P mauriatseem to be nice higher in price, but there is alot of refabbers out there who rebuils and sell,, i had a YTS 52,, it sounded great with the right set up there great,, no engraving but who cares,,…[Read more]

reeds are a big journey, they are vast and vary alot, and one has to find the right mouthpiece and the reed to go with it, it is hard to says whats best, but , from my point of view, good ones are vandoren, rico, hemke there is videos of these by UK sax on youtube, great display of sounds you want to find a good MP though, that suits your needs,…[Read more]
