Bill, it’s too easy to develop a few bad habits while learning on our own. I had a few myself until I found a teacher.

never pull the neck out to tune! only adjustments are with the mouthpiece and embouchure.

well, you can make a mp out of just about anything I guess.
years ago when I was buying a mp for a baritone sax I had for a short time…
I was in a large music store and selected several to try in the private room.

Have you gone thru the entire “How To Play The Saxophone – Complete Beginner’s guides” yet?
If so make sure part of your daily time is spent on the “Daily Practice Routine”
A solid hour on those exercises everyday will help a lot.

yes, Sheila, lots of good things you’re doing there.
your timing is very good, I think you’re even tapping your foot which is great (everyone should do that).
those few times when your intonation is off is in the higher register. This is common for beginner to intermediate level students.
the easiest range on our sax is the middle.
