The editing functions on the Zoom R20 look a lot easier than the editing functions on my Tascom 8trk multitrack recorder. i have a digital piano with xlr midi in and midi out cables, which i feed into a box that converts the two cables to to a single cable with a usb plug. However my tascom multitrack doesn’t cater for midi input.
So to get round it i have to use a separate audio interface that has xlr midi in and midi out sockets and use logic pro to record the midi signals and convert it to audio in logic pro.
The digital piano also has an audi headphone socket, so i can also use the headphone socket to feed an audio signal into the tascam multitrack recorder instead of a midi signal.
