I’d like to help Paddy, but I didn’t use the chart, I transcribed it by ear.
From low D to high D you can put in a fast chromatic run. Doesn’t really matter which notes but as long as you
hit the high D hard and on the beat.
          Hope that helps.
          cheers Mark.

I am a long way from been able to transcribe something like that by ear, thats a great skill to have in the tool box. But i shall work on the chromatic run up to nailing the high D. Thank Mark

Paddy, think of it like this; there’s a bunch of notes between the middle D and the high D, just play them all as you go from one D to the next.
It’s not even a matter of playing a chromatic scale, that would be too many notes. It’s like if you did it on a piano and slid your finger from those two notes, you would be hitting all the white keys along the way. Does this make sense?

Yeah what Johnny said. Think of it like Jerry Lee Lewis’s well used parlour trick 🙂
                cheers, Mark.
