Embellishments … scoops, fall offs, bending notes, glissandos etc…
Need to be practiced and mastered just like scales are practiced up and down the sax.
ie if you choose to practice one type of embellishment lets say you want to practice improving a fall off, then you need to master playing a fall off on every other key on the sax, same goes for the other types of embellishments. On different keys, fingering changes and embouchure changes and control of wind changes.
the joys of sax, you probably know all this already, but i soon found out once i mastered something on one key, i assumed i could do it on every other key, which turned out to be false. we’re all here to help one another along the way.
