The 2nd best option is the F#. Some saxes have a side key to make this note easier. I recommend in my altissimo course to use that fingering as a good jumping board to be able to hit the high G. This is because from the F# to G it’s one quick smooth move making it the easiest way to finally hit the altissimo G. From there you’re well on your way to the A. Something to think about doing.
