      Hi Johnny. In WDIT what can I substitute for the altissimo (A I think) at the beginning. If you go down an octave will it sound lame in relation to the pitch of the following bar? Can’t quite hit those ones yet!

        The 2nd best option is the F#. Some saxes have a side key to make this note easier. I recommend in my altissimo course to use that fingering as a good jumping board to be able to hit the high G. This is because from the F# to G it’s one quick smooth move making it the easiest way to finally hit the altissimo G. From there you’re well on your way to the A. Something to think about doing.
