Blowing some Paul Simon. I saw Paul Simon last week on TV singing “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and he was way off key, so I may be off key too but anyway you play or sing it it’s a beautiful song as all of Paul’s songs are. Paul is and has been always one of the greatest poets.https://youtu.be/i_ox_i6EHDE

Hi William, that’s a very thought provoking video. ‘Graceland’ was a good album too.
I’ve just acquired The Best of Simon & Garfunkel ISBN: 0-7935-7950-3 which I’m transposing to Eb.

Sixto Rodriguez is another underated USA artist, who was very popular in South Africa with his ‘Cold Fact’ album.

‘Establishment Blues’ is as valid today as it ever was!

Hi William, so how do you like those lyrics to Establishment Blues? It’s one of my all-time favourite protest songs.

“Woke up this morning with an ache in my head
Splashed on my clothes as I spilled out of bed
Opened the window to listen to the news
But all I heard was the Establishment’s Blues.”

                Brilliant!!!

Establishment Blues sounds like the times. I was told that the reason we have wars is so people can learn geography. Remember “The Merry Minuet by the Kingston Trio https://youtu.be/bp6dsKleGpU
