I know how to transpose music to different instruments ie C on the Alto is Eb on the piano etc..
But when it comes to copying the Alto to Piano copying gets confusing as i’m not sure which Eb to use on the Piano Sheet.
So to help me i created a Score Sheet…

yes that’s a good sheet, easy to see and understand.
wether it’s alto to piano or piano to alto it’s the same interval just in reverse

After looking at my Transposing Score Sheet, i can see why a Tenor player would want to play in the Altissimo range more so than an Alto player. If you want to play and sound the same notes as on a piano sheet, there’s tons of piano sheets where you would need to play in the tenor altissimo range.

Hi James, I found this quite confusing too. Until I realised that to go from Concert to Eb Alto
you have to raise the notes by nine and for the Bb Tenor sax you have to raise the notes by fourteen.
This is important when wanting to play exactly the same note as the keyboard to lead singers.
