Hey Johnny, just wondered if saw the last couple of videos I posted on the 3rd blog. Was looking for some feedback about a couple of things I am hearing. I feel as though my LOW notes sound nice and full and am happy with my tones thus far. When I get to the high D my notes sound as if they are not as full and start to get weak. In the song “Have you ever seen the rain”, look at 2:10 and I notice a difference in my tone. In “Santa Baby”, around 1:52 I start going into the higher register and in particularly 2:00 and 2:10 notes are pretty weak. I’m not sure if its a lack of air or possible the sax that is making this happen. I feel as though I am blowing the heck into the sax with the same resulting thin upper notes. There are spots where I know it is an air supply problem but is this the case in all of the spots?
I am working on Sleepwalk and the low register sounds pretty good, but when I jump to the high D, the quality is greatly decreased! Any suggestions?? Thanks! I am referring to my tenor.

Jake I have written a reply that addresses this high note problem in the blog under the video for Have you ever seen the rain.

            Hello Jonny,
tanks a lot for your explaining.
My problem is the over tone notes higher than the range of my tenor sax. how can play it, at the moment for me is not possible to play it.
i´m very sad about this !
I got a great please on you, if it is possible give me an arrangement to ” what a difference a day made “.
            At last,

i wish you a happy new year.
            So long

I think you are talking about the “altissimo” range; the notes above high F#.
                This is completly different.
I am thinking about creating a video course for playing the altissimo range and will keep you posted on this.

The music charts along with the backing tracks will be available as soon as I upload all 4 songs/videos over the next few days. I will send an email as we go.
