Johnny did a sick rendition of this one

I’ve bought all of Johnny’s tracks over the past few years, up until
the latest 10 tracks. I’m having a break from buying them, with one
to one sax lessons every week, i just can’t find time to practice
them properly, to do them justice. So the collection has been on hold
for a couple of years. Every now and then i play some of them, and
gradually over time, some of them get a lot easier to play.
Lack of feedback is another reason for not airing them, and not finding
time to record them without practicing them properly is open for criticism.

                Well done Johnny!
When you picked the stripper for a song i had my doubts as to me i
prefer the cancan instead, but having now heard how it sounds on tenor,
you’ve win me over. Shame i don’t play the tenor.

i’ve seen the cancan in the moulin rouge in paris, and i’ve been in the
crazy horse as well, probably why i’m biased. lol

As an Alto player, it would be interesting to hear what it sounds like
played on an alto, even if it’s just the 1st 8 bars.

ya, it’s pretty easy to see how that smokey tenor sound is well suited for the stripper
but even tho I didn’t play it on alto (yet) I have a good feeling about it. I think it would
have a certain quality and pro’s as well. Altho maybe not as sexy as the tenor for this one, it maybe more exciting in other ways…
depending on the player’s sound and style of course. I bet Edgar Winter would kill it!
