James, a very pleasant song to listen to. Thanks for uploading your recording learning process. Good classical tone, control, and intonation. The recording was good and clear…
@Kevin – if i have time on thursday, will try and record it again with a different mic position, not quite happy with the overall sound and the logic pro settings
I’m using a new mic. A Royer 121 with an Audient iD14 interface. Both are from Sweetwater https://youtu.be/wB0g-SO70Tc
William – thats great mic/interface you have there! Quality gear.
The recording sounds a lot more natural/real in sound quality a lot different to your previous mic.
Good song choice that one.
thanks for sharing!
Thanks sxpoet. I spent some time in Mexico. I’m in most of the still photos in the video like the first one. That one was in Guadalajara
cool – trip down memory lane. in the 1st photo are you the guy on the left?
That’s me on the left
odd in the photo at 1:30 the guy bottom left looks like the
bother of the guy standing at the far right next to the guy wearing the hat. probably just a trick of the light.
Aha. Let’s see if i remember these guys. Bottom left. With white tee shirt. His name Joe O’Neal, a medical student from California. The guy in the dark tee shirt standing behind Joe O’Neal, also a medical student. 3rd guy from the left, standing is, El Señor Guapo, me, Sir William Cingolani. Two guys sitting also from Calif. Standing with checkered shirt and dark sweater is Professor Guadalupe Rosales, the school teacher for the children in the village, San Miguel del Monte.Standing next to the school teacher is Terry Thompson. Terry and I were in school together back in the USA. The guy on the far right is a villager. The year was 1962. We were in Mexico doing peace corp type work. The building behind us was a bunk house for some of us. Living was primitive
