      testing out my new mic – stellar x2 vintage

      i put the backing track on tracks 1 & 2
      then i recorded my Sax on three separate tracks – tracks 3, 4 & 5

      i’m pleased with mic.

            good idea. well of course the mic quality won’t help with timing but you can use some kind of metronome/click track.
            duets are fun and great for improving all sorts of things like timing and tuning….will be very benificial for you if you spend some good time on it!

              Jeff Smith (in another forum) and I, are working along similar lines, trying to improve our timing by practicing/uploading identical tunes.
              Any help/comments will be useful.

                  @Mike – thanks for putting me on to them, i could only get hold of the x2 vintage model, but i’m really pleased with it’s pick up – i don’t have to alter as many settings in my digital 8 track recorder to improve the signal, compared to the other microphones i’ve used in the past.
