finaly started playing sub tones by accident – early days. But i actually enjoy this more than playing altissimo notes, started coming out when i started learning vibrato in the past few months. i’m not a fan of vibrato, but subtones is a wow factor.

finaly found the technique for playing subtones – cover as much as the reed as possible to muffle the higher partials ie play nearer the tip of the reed (less mouthpiece in the mouth)
The opposite more moouthpiece in the mouth allows the higher partials to come out (result a brighter sound)
