Hi Johnny!
Thanks a lot for the Reeds Care video.
What amazing job you’re doing with this instructional videos and articles!
For a beginner as me is great to read and hear advises from an expert as you.
First of all, my former sax teacher told me to level the reed edge with the mouthpiece ridge, but I tried leaving it a hairline down as you recommended and the sound is much better and smooth.
I’ve used Vandoren (regular and java) and La Voz. I’ll try the regular Ricos to see what happens.
One more thing.
In the book “The Art of Playing Saxophone” from Larry Teal he mentions the “Dutch Rush” as you do plus some other tools according to the part of the reed to improve.
May I share the table and diagram with another Forum members?
Thanks again!
Greetings!
