HI Jak
yep missed JFs version I shall have a go at it, I like
the way a guy called Ian Boyter on youtube plays it,
he is based in Scotland nd puts loads of stuff on youtube
all the stuff I like, take a look.
Cheers to you Jak
Hi Peter, good to hear from you mate…!!😊
Ian Boyter; man there’s a name from the past. He’s a great player. He was one of the first players I watched when you tube was new: and that’s going back some. I remember years back he changed from his Florida link to a Yani metal. I said I’d give him six months and he’d go back to his link.
” och nae chance ” ( that’s real Scots ).
So far as I know he’s not changed back, but yeah, GREAT Player…!! I think he’s gonna be the next Aubra, thirty some years on.
Its altissimo Sunday mate. Nothing wrong with the Conn; guess I’m getting older and can’t handle wide tips any more. Keeping three tenorsax mpcs.
Link, Lawton, Berg…..three classics.
Be around later mate….great to see its all good with you !!☺
Everybody should check out Mr Boyter. The things that guy can do over a 2\5\1. The most basic progression….amazing !!
Where are you up to mate. Keeping your chops in ?
Happy with your outfit ?
Certainly hope so mate…..
Nice one….later….jak
Oh yeah, Johnny’s take on the ” Whiter ” is there for sure. Man I’m so tempted to buy the honeydripper BT. I’m just up to my neck in dots , books, bts. Listening to King Curtis playing it last night. On alto..!!😯
Its just such a classic tune; later this week; and that’s the last one until I’ve got them all down !!
Famous last words….LOL !!
Back to the altissimo.
See you later man !!😊
`iframesrc
Oh yeah…lol !!😕
Take it easy Peter….
I revisited my Onyx reeds today and I find my soft carbon onyx reed to be very responsive. I was blowing “Sweet Caroline” in E flat. The part that goes “good times never seemed so good – middle C up to A flat…the A flat often sounded duuuh with my fiber hemp reed as though I wasn’t using my octave key. But with my carbon onyx reed i was right on every time… C to A flat. Carbon onyx is the way to go. I was using my metal MBII fatboy.
Keep at it William, it will all come good !!☺☺
