      😎 Hey Johnny,
I’ve really been enjoying “How to Play Killer Blues” and feels like I’ve learned so much just from the first 3 exercises. I’m getting ready to start working on the Brown Sugar Sax solo–I can flutter tongue now but it’s challenging, right now, for me to flutter tongue long enough like you show in Brown Sugar. Do you flutter tongue all the way through that particular portion of the solo or are you combining growling and flutter tongue in intervals? Gradually working up to be able to do it to play your version of the Peter Gunn theme song. When I can do that…….then I’ll be really happy 🙂

Great Michael, it’s a great solo to learn for sure. I think that particular solo has more flutter than growl, although it’s pretty tough not to at least put in a little growl with a flutter. They go hand in hand. But for that solo it’s heavy on the flutter.
