good work Simon! on all your recent uploads. This one is slightly more
“Flat” than the others for some reason…maybe you were getting tired!?
You could spend some time working with a tuner…in general it’s just a little flat. even pushing the mouthpiece in may fix it.
I’m curious about your reed. it sounds like you might be working a little hard with it. does it feel a little too stiff?
This one was recorded with different mpc. I can record again with my ‘regular mpc’ and other reed and see if any difference. Btw, should i play like i would on stage when recording or hold back a little? I always wonder if it will be too much if i go too powerfull when recording.
Thx Mike. I’ll record again with more ‘power’ and at 100% recording level on recording device and see if i get any better results. And i’ll tune sax before recording:)))
I think that if you hold back while recording it would change things for you in the wrong way….
when we hold back it usually means we play softer, which is ok but most people will put less air thru the horn when playing that way.
I would play nice and loud the way you do live when recording.
I thought your tone was very good in all your uploads, it was the tuning that was flat.
