Anyone remember ‘Eddie and the Cruisers’ from the 1980s? Here’s a fantastic Sax solo from their song ‘On The Dark Side’. Keep hearing the same thing in all of these great solos–Penatonics, handful of notes, embellishments, etc 🙂 I think sometimes we tend to wanna complicate things in our Improvising. Seems like keeping it simple is always a smart way to go.
