      Hey guys. As I mentioned a while back, my octave spring broke off, leaving me resorting to the old rubber band technique. Although , it does not help, anytime I try to press the octave key, it makes a high squeal sound. So I just have to tighten my embrochure, which makes me sound kinda growly when I need to play a high note.

      Concert is coming up soon for the SEBHS band, and I need to get it fixed. The question is, how much will it cost to repair?

      Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      Also, the sax in the picture here is a Conn, looks similar to mine, that has no serial number, or brand name. Although, mine does have engravings on the bell, like any other. Any idea what brand mine is?

        Thanks for the nice pic Jonathan. I’m not at all a repair guy but from my experience with them this sounds like a very minor job. Only one small part and a very common one for the saxophone so should be very inexepnsive to fix.
