I remember the film Christine, is it the one with the car. Very good film. I bought this book ” the 20 best jazz tunes for the alto sax with CD”. So I got the backing track for harlem nocturn. Today I signed up with you tube and experimented with taking video. I recorded the song god bless the child Arthur Herzog jr. and Billie Holiday without backing track. The sound quality is not great. I will try to put it on the blog.

Well I did it over the weekend….sold my recently bought YAS 62 for $100 more than I paid for it in July and will receive my new Yani Tenor later this week. It’s a vintage early 80’s model but new for me at least and in pristine condition. Can’t wait to get onto some of the songs I can already play and put them through the tenor, though in a different key of course!! That’s going to be interesting to see how quickly I pick them up playing different notes. I was kept awake trolling the net for the past week for the right one and although I haven’t played it as yet it but it is the best I could get for my budget and should be awesome.

I see you all talking about such a wide range of sax makes. Does anyone play a Yani of any sort??
