After having all the pads changed on my Tenor it is now much easier to play.
All the notes sound good except the middle D which sounds a little muted.
I’ve discovered that by adding the C# table key the D opens up to sound just like the others.
Does anyone else use an alternate fingering for the middle D on the Tenor?

Hi Jeff I do have the same problem with my Alto, but it’s the lower d. I hardly get a sound. Maybe it’s a leak.

The middle D can be slightly different than all the other notes cause it’s the first note of the register break… takes some practice because there is more accuracey needed as there are more fingers coming down all at once for that note.
not the same issue for the lower D, I suspect this is more of a saxophone problem.

I’ve just tried the C# table key addition to the middle D and D# notes on my Alto, and it works great there too!

My muted D problem is solved (at least until my embouchure improves to the point when I no longer require the additional key!)
