Hi Johnny, you mentioned playing by memory, how can I develop memorising tunes, and play without music.
Is there any formula that may help.

The way I do it is take it a little bit at a time. Take that first bar or first phrase, could even be the first few notes. Read them over and ove till you memorize them. Now add a few more and keep going like this…it’s just like memorizing a poem or the lyrics to a song etc.
