Hey Johnny, wanted to run a question by you. While looking through some jazz play-alongs I have I noticed some strange notes. I am referring to my tenor sax. It appears to be a G and an F note. The G note (I think) is placed 2 lines below the bottom of the scale followed by the F note which is on the 3rd line below the scale. I thought the lowest note is the Bb. I know I can hit a low A if I muffle the bell, but does it really go this low or do I play them the octave above?
I also noticed one of these notes in the Peter Gunn download. The beginning of the 2nd page, last note. It appears to be an A#… Oops, nevermind, LOL. That would be the Low Bb. But back to those other notes?? Any ideas??
      Thanks

your assumption is right, the lowest note on any sax is Bb. if you see anything lower just means it wasn’t properly transposed so you have to do it yourself and going up the octave is the way to do it.
