hi,
You need to get a sax teacher from day one, so they can see you are blowing the instrument correctly (no music book will help you), and if they give you lessons, then they should recomend a music book to practice with.
If you are in the Uk,
then this is the book i started out with, gets you up to grade 3
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Team-Woodwind-Alto-Saxophone-Audio/dp/0571528147
There is an equivalent one if you are in the USA,
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Essential-Elements-2000-Flat-Saxophone/dp/0634012916
the USA books come in book 1 & 2, book 2 will see you up to grade 3
i used both, but its also worth just buying a theory book, to use as a reference book, as they ususlly explain in more detail than a practice book.
