I have the Tequila solo I can probably put here in a pdf file. I have an amazing book called “25 Great Sax Solos”, in which Tequila is one of them. It is for the Tenor so any alto players will have to transpose. I don’t mind throwing it up here as long as Johnny doesn’t have a problem with it. Check out the book though. Tons a great tunes in it!!
yes, that’s one of the blues ones I’d like to do for sure.
No Jake, of course I don’t mind you sharing music!
So cool and awesome to see how willing everyone is here to want to help each other improve in their playing! Anything you have Jake I would LOVE to see. I’m going to write out on sheet music the solo I learned for “Spooky” for Tenor Sax…I had planned to upload it in late October because it was that time of year when people everywhere feel that things get “Spooky” LOL I”ll get to it when I get back home—The Sax lines for this song are pretty easy because it’s repetitive, but at the same time there lots of little embellishment to throw in so that it doesn’t sound so repetitive. In the solo, there’s a quick run-up to Altissimo Db which was kind of tricky to learn because it’s so quick LOL I plan to start working on the Sax solos to Billy Ocean’s “Carribean Queen” and Arethra Franklin’s “Freeway of Love” 🙂 I LOVE killing Sax solos! It’s where we get to pick up our Saxophones and just let it loose 🙂
Thats awesome about Spooky. Haha, One of the band members I was playing with over the summer just hit me up to learn that song. I will try to put up Tequila tomorrow.
