wow just been reading “John Coltrane improvised sax solos” containing 11 songs.
It’s so complicated for standard notation, the author introduced it with 7 pages of his own notation to describe how to play it in his own style!
Not going to go there! but interesting to read what some of these guys put into their work.
Such a lot to be gained by reading!
When i started out i gained a lot more from reading Johnny’s e-books than watching videos.
To me watching videos is only useful if there is commentry describing in it .
