Set the metronome to 96 & could play
the 1st 5 bars ok! But got stuck on bar 6!
quaver-1, crochet-&2,quaver-&,quaver-3,
crochet-&4,quaver-&.
So took your advice Johnny,
Just working on bar 6 until i can get it
right before proceding onto bar 7.
The only way i could get my head round
it counting wise with the metronome,
was to do what you recomended!
So i dropped the metronome down to 50
beats, and after several attempts managed
to play bar 6 properly.
Then i’m doing what you suggested,
that is increase the metronome in small
leaps, so when i could play it at 55 beats,
moved it up to 60. So now i’m up to 83.
Eventually i’ll get it up to 96, then i hopefully
will be able to play all 6 bars at 96 beats &
proceed on.
I think bar 14 is the next problem bar.
So with your approach Johnny I should be
able to eventually get through the whole
piece!
