Yesterdays evening meal was a Jazz theme. There was a Sax player playing along to lots of backing tracks as good as Johnny’s backing tracks – pro stuff.
He played some of the songs Johnny recorded, but mainly a lot of jazz balads, swing – stuff ideal for a meal setting & not too loud so people could hear themselves speaking.
It was interesting to hear his style of improvisation! he obviously reworks it for different types of events.
He played bob marleys jamming, and i was thinking hows he gonna improvise to that – but he pulled it off, he add the exact guitar & drums in his backing track – i was impressed! even the sax stuff stood up to the sweltering heat.August 1, 2014 at 1:08 pm #12400sounds very cool, thanks for sharing and updating your vacation experience!
JohnnyAugust 3, 2014 at 3:14 pm #12405Anonymousincredible – yesterday we walked further up the beach to a secluded beach & saw hundreds of turtle eggs exposed in the sand!
This morning we went again & saw a baby turtle making its way along the sand into the sea & saw 6 little baby turtles swimming out to sea.
This evening we saw an enormous turtle digging the sand up laying its eggs!
I spoke to one of the islanders & they’d never seen baby turtles going into the sea but they had seen big turtles before! We felt very privalleged!
Well i can now say i’ve hung out where the celebs stay in barbados – had afternoon tea at Sandy Lane Hotel, where simon cowel & rhianna stay!
I’m not sure but someone was saying to play a round of golf there was $4000!August 3, 2014 at 9:08 pm #12407That’s so cool, I’ve seen those turtles do that on nature shows on tv. to see it first hand like that must have been so amazing.

just had to show this video!
Baby turtles were popping out of the
sand & someone from the hotel put
them in this box (200 of them) to be released into the sea when it was dark!
Saw another mother turtle come up the sand right to where we were eating!
Photo below of a baby that had just
dug its way out!August 6, 2014 at 6:54 pm #12409you have the youtube video in private mode and so we can’t see it. you can change the public setting.
