🙂 hi Everyone! I am new to this kind of thing so sorry if I am in the wrong place! Just bought my first Sax and keen to get on with it! First question to the group! How do you mute the sound from these things:-). I love the sound but my neighbours are not so keen. I have suggested they pick up an instrument and join in but they don’t seem so keen,

you can actually mute the sax. there are saxophone mutes on the market, but from my experience the alto one is the only one that works reasonably well.
you can rig up a mute yourself by shoving a towel or other material in the bell, just don’t push it down to far or it will get in the way of the tone holes and make it impossible to play those low notes.
