      Hey Johnny,
Starting now in a few weeks, our kids are enrolled in a Music Academy as they’re taking an real interest in music and learning to play different instruments–looks like I may be able to start my own band in time LOL. My oldest daughter is diving into the Alto Sax when it comes back from the Shop from servicing; that’s where it’s at right now. Our youngest Son is going for the drums and our youngest daughter is going for the Violin. They wanted to see something from me on the Saxophone and I did Tequila (of course LOL) and wanted to know where I have been learning to play. So I showed them your video of “Use Me” and the Instructors got this HUGE smile and told me “this guy has got some GOOD stuff” I then showed him the Watermelon Man, Honky Tonk and In The Mood and, amazingly, told me “We can teach your kids, but it doesn’t look like there’s anything we could do for you here” 🙂
Thanks Johnny for all your instruction.

The Saxophone instructor at the Academy was blown away by your playing Johnny and could tell immediately that you are a pro-level player. What he told me is that most people don’t realize just how much work, practice, time, countless mistakes, etc.. it takes to get to your level. He really digs what you’re doing; he’s more into a lot of modern jazz type stuff with the Soprano–which is his favorite Saxophone–but said he LOVES to hear classic R&B, 50s Rock, etc. played with Tenor. I asked him why doesn’t he pull out the Tenor and start playing those things himself; he replied that most of the students he works with are on Alto or Soprano because they’re the easiest Saxophones to play and it’s a good starting point and because of that he wants to stay on “the same page” as others he works with. He was looking at your videos, nodding his head and had a BIG smile on his face 🙂
