Hello from Victoria

I took a few sax lessons about 15 years ago but gave it up. I guess I was just to busy working and was too impatient with the learning process. Off and on I would think about the sax and regret not staying with it at that time.

15 years later we end up at a Legends of Rock and Roll concert in Victoria and there is this great sax player on stage. By the end of the night I knew I had to give it another try.

I found a used Yamaha YTS-23 and started back in, to my surprise the rockin sax player from the concert had a site called How to Play the Saxophone.

Thanks Johnny for the inspiration to get back to the sax and double thanks for the lessons on your site. I have started weekly lessons with Monik Nordine but still use this site regularily.

I am 59 so likely don't have the time ahead to ever be great, but I am having fun and getting better.

Are you planning to play on the Island any time soon?

Roger, how is the YTS-23 working out for you?
Glad you are enjoying the lessons, and stay tuned for more .
I think there will be some dates in March and June, both with the legions group and I'll probably be involved, hopefully I'll remember to post them!
