      doing good Frank.
instead of stuffing the sock in there just blow really loud. Blowing loud will actually help you to improve your sound. it gets the air out which is important….the more air support you have the better your tone. play really loud for a while, it’ll do ya good!

Thats a good video log of your progress on the sax.

To help you play more in tune, just practicing going up and down a major scale for 10 minutes a day (WITHOUT VIBRATO) will improve your tuning. As well as that, practice playing Long Tones (again without vibrato) – both of these are covered in Johnny’s courses.

Thank Walley, I will star a practice routine just with the scales and start adding long notes, for some reason I skipped over them in the book I bought with the sax. I printed out Johnny’s scales to use for practice.
Johnny, some days I do pull the sock out, usually on the weekends. The RV life style has some drawbacks…one being neighbors very close, especially in warm weather. I spent this past winter here and the section I am in was deserted, I was the only one here. I could play as loud and long as I wanted. I have to tone it down during the season.
