Hi everyone, I’m Mac. I studied classical sax for 3 years at university back in late 80’s. Since then music is a great hobby for me. I play in a band around the Toronto area – rock, R&B, soul, old-school disco – whatever gets em dancing. I have two Mark-VII Selmers – alto and tenor.
I’ve been watching Johnny’s vids on YouTube for a while now, and I see more coming daily! Love Pink Floyd’s Us and Them 😀
Also King Curtis and Brubeck – nice additions.

(Johnny:I’d like to make a small donation for all your hard work here – how do I do that?)

Hey Mac, thanks for checking in. I too have a tenor MK VII. It was my first pro horn. Although I find the 6’s a little less cluncky on the bottom the 7 sounds better.. most guys don’t believe that but I’ve proven it in a kinda blind fold test in a recording studio. The 7 won hands down.
Anyway glad you like the videos. There is a Paypal “Donate” button on the home page bottom if you want to do that it’s very awesome of you. I’m also starting to put up some backing tracks with music charts to download for a few bucks to help pay the online bills as well…every little thing helps!
        cheers and rock on
        Johnny

Ok , might even arrange a 30 min lesson with you – just thinking of what I want to focus on… Thanks.
