Check out Earl Bostic’s version of Night Train. This guy has got to be one of the greatest Saxophone players that ever lived. On his glissandos, he’s hitting every single note of the chromatic scale; super smooth and even….good grief. On a side note, I never heard back from my contemporary-alto playing friend who didn’t believe me when I told him Earl Bostic played on the Alto 😉
