      hi, i double trumpet and tenor.a mixture of music but fair share of rock&roll. i was wondering if there are any tips out there for altissimo for tenor.i play growly style king curtis type solos,but love johnny Ferreira,s style and clarence clemmons.also any mike tips i use beyerdynamic tg40 .any tips would be great

        Thanks Paul, well I've used lots of different mics on my sax over the years. The Beyer you mentioned is not one of them I don't think…The shure sm57 is a great sax mic, especially for a crisp, in-your-face sound like in blues and rock. I even chopped one to make it shorter so I could put it on my bell and use it with my wireless system.

        As for the altissimo stuff, yes I'm planning to get to that and have it on the video lessons soon… I'll announce it here and send out an email so you'll hear when they're ready.
