Bari Reed on a Tenor

I’m experimenting and it seems that a baritone reed works better for me than a tenor reed. Ever tried it? I’m going for that big full tenor blast for R&B and the Bari reeds don’t squeal compared to the tenor reeds. Maybe it’s a matter of blowing too hard? Anyway I’ve compared the two over a few weeks and am getting better results with the Bari reeds. Using an RPC 115 and Rico Royal 2.5s (Bari and Tenor) Thanks again for your insight and inspiration 😉

That’s hilarious. I may have tried that a long time ago but can’t recall very well. I guess if your mouthpiece is on the wide side it could work, and it seems to be working for you at the moment so rock on with it and see how it goes.
