For someone at the beginner’s level the altissimo course is not only do-able but highly recommended. Why? because the front-end lessons are not only preparing you for the higher notes to come, but are also improving your overall technique, tone and ear training. The desired outcome of the course is to finally control those screaming high altissimo notes but in reality it’s a great all around saxophone training course.
Vinny, just take it slow…. one exercise at a time and don’t rush ahead without perfecting the 1st lesson, if you do chances are you’ll get frustrated. remember that it’s not a race. You have access to these lessons everyday, they aren’t going anywhere!
