The Bb major scale will introduce you to the Bb and Eb notes. The low Bb is the lowest note on a saxophone, although some more modern-made baritones will have a low A.

Because it can be a little difficult to start off cold on a low Bb we will begin by practising this scale starting on middle Bb in order to make it easier in these beginning stages.
