Getting familiar with the high notes!
Work on the above scale until you’re familiar with the notes, keeping your air support really strong while playing all notes nice and loud and even.
You can easily develop a love-hate relationship with this one because it will help you to develop the full range on your saxophone, but those last few notes on the top can be a little choppy at first.
Important thing is to take it very slow until you can smoothly go through all the notes. Speed is NOT important now, but playing smoothly and evenly is.
The lesson ends with playing the Bb major chord up and down 2 octaves. Remember, you can get a lot of mileage working out with this exercise so spend as much time as you can on it.
